I know what y'all're thinking: what's a tiny thing like that doing driving and drawing the big trucks? I'm not a trucker, I'm not a mechanic, I'm not even the drag racer I fantasize being. I'm an artist. Some see a truck, and see an over-sized fuel-guzzler, or figure the owner has too much time or money on hand. I see a truck, and I admire the lines, the light, the shadows, the color, the reflection, exterior add-ons, and so forth. I see beauty. Sometimes I don't, though, but most trucks deserve admiration. And I want to draw and study that beauty.

Take my Delilah, for instance. She's been rather beaten-up by her previous owner (and I've added a few dents from mesquites in south Tucson), and the shine is long gone from her coat, but she's still a beautiful truck. She's a Y2K Ram 2500 Sport 4x4 CTD QCLB. I do all my wheeling in this truck, and someday I hope to drag in her, too.

I also aspire to own a '67 Fastback with a Cobra under the hood for cruising (or drag racing), an '82 FSBronco for crawling, a '59 Ranchero just because it's gorgeous, an '07 Ram dually, a 1st gen Ram CTD, and a 5th wheel to haul all of those with the dually haha. Oh, yes, my front yard will look like a used car dealership and I'll be the happiest cowgirl around!
